Jacqui is a Family Nurse Practitioner working in a gynecology office in Portland, Oregon. She is a cofounder of NSSRH and served on its Board for 10 years. Her passion is in treating adolescents and talking about sexuality with patients. She has been educating others in the area of sexual health for about 20 years. Dr. Toni Marengo-Barbick is a women's healthcare specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Naval Medical Center San Diego. She is the Associate Residency Program Director and the Director of Family Planning at her institution. She received her Medical Degree from Northwestern University and completed her residency training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences center, where she served as an Administrative Chief Resident in her final year (2004). She went on to serve in the United States Navy until 2007. Dr. Marengo is an Associate Clinical Professor at both the University of California Irvine and the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. In addition, she serves as a board examiner for the American Board of Ob/Gyn and is the incoming San Diego Section Chair for the American College of Ob/Gyns. Her clinical practice focus is on family planning and adolescent gynecology. She is considered a subject matter expert in family planning for the Navy and is an active member of a Bureau of Medicine and Surgery working group that is engaged in reducing the unintended pregnancy rate in the military and increasing knowledge of best practices in contraception for active duty medical personnel.
