The You Decide: Making Informed Health Choices about Hormonal Contraception Tool Kit is designed to help health care providers better understand and speak to the risks and benefits of hormonal contraception. Myths and misperceptions about risks associated with hormonal contraception, especially when they are fueled by media sensation, can lead women to unnecessarily restrict their birth control choices without cause. These restrictions can have unfortunate — and unnecessary — consequences for their health and well-being, including unintended pregnancy.
This tool kit is part of a comprehensive educational program created by Planned Parenthood® Federation of America, Inc. (PPFA) and the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals (ARHP).
