Description of Organization:
Planned Parenthood of Western PA (PPWP) is an affiliate of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. PPWP has seven health centers providing reproductive healthcare to women and men and dedicated staffs providing public education and advocacy.

Position Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -- - Provides well woman visits, contraceptives, emergency contraceptives, STI screening and treatment and the provision of PreP, according to the standards and guidelines of Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the protocols of Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania. - Serves as the General Supervisor of PPWP’s CLIA-Waived, PA Department of Health, Bureau of Laboratories-Level 1 laboratory(s). Interprets laboratory tests and orders additional diagnostic tests when indicated for gynecological conditions. Makes appropriate referrals for additional medical findings for evaluation. - Initiates or assists in the delivery of emergency care in accordance with established procedures. - Acts as a medical consultant to health center support staffs - Provides team-centered patient care to promote a positive patient and staff experience and to achieve health center productivity goals - Demonstrates PPWP customer service standards - Performs other duties as assigned

- Currently licensed in the state of Pennsylvania as a certified registered nurse practitioner or certified nurse midwife. - Must have prescriptive authority with current licensure. - Ability to comfortably discuss sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy options. - Ability to actively demonstrate commitment to diversity goals in interaction with patients and staffs. - Ability to provide services in support of the PPWP mission and to uphold PPWP core values, promoting expertise, access, trust and respect.
